EURE-ET-LOIR (28) – Nestled in the heart of the Eure Valley, 6 km from Chartres and 1 hour from Paris, the fully renovated 18th-century Moulin de Plateau welcomes you to its 1.5-hectare green setting.
As you follow the water, discover a place of character where the industrial spirit has been revisited to bring a unique touch to the whole. First mentioned in 1174 as the property of the Madeleine du Grand Beaulieu leprosarium, the mill was rebuilt several times before being converted, at the beginning of the 20th century, into a factory manufacturing various objects until 1974. Today, it houses spaces dedicated to events.
On the occasion of European Mill and Milling Heritage Days 2026, the Moulin de Plateau is opening its doors to the public: discover this large water mill and its two hydroelectric turbines, as well as a museum of milling heritage equipment on the ground floor.
