Mill of the Hall

Municipality of Hondouville

Moulin de la Halle. The Moulin de la Halle was built on the site of two other mills: one for oil and the other for fulling, owned by the nuns of Saint Sauveur d'Évreux since the 11th century. Powered by the La Fontaine stream, the oldest part of the mill dates back to the 18th century. It was converted into a wheat mill in the 19th century and finally ceased operations in 1959. The mill has retained much of its milling equipment.
