DORDOGNE (24) – Around the Citole mill
From grain to bread... Located in the heart of the Bergerac region, the Moulin de Citole windmill regained its roof, sails, and original mechanism in 2023. Built in 1765, this windmill is one of the last buildings of its kind still standing in the area. As in the past, it transforms wheat into flour. The interior layout allows visitors to discover the complex mechanism driven by the sails and understand how the flour mill works.
On Saturday, May 16, starting at 9:30 a.m., there will be a 9-km guided hike around Sadillac, followed by a tour of the mill from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m.
On Sunday, May 17, starting at 9:30 a.m., there will be a 9 km guided hike around Sadillac, followed by a tour of the mill from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
