Rochegoude tide mill

Former flour mill consisting of two adjoining buildings, the main one on the estuary has two square floors above a base fitted with two corridors that housed hydraulic paddle wheels. The north facade is covered with slate cladding, while the facade on the reservoir side is organized into regular spans of granite windows. When the mill was converted into a flour mill, Rochegoude received five roller mills, six converters, two planishers, and two sifters, bringing the daily crushing capacity to 155 quintals of wheat. The 2-hectare reservoir was made possible by the presence of a 136-meter-long dike, which also serves as a footbridge between the towns of Lancieux and Saint-Briac.
