Liubavas Manor Watermill

LITUANIE  – Liubavas Manor Watermill near Vilnius, capital of Lithuania – the quality restored monument of technological heritage tells the story of the manor and exhibits the authentic fixtures of the mill. Situated at a picturesque location close to Vilnius, Liubavas is one of the oldest estates in Lithuania.
The museum in the stonework mill initiated by the sculptor Gintaras Karosas. The buildings itself, the technological equipment and specific landscape characteristics have been thoroughly restored to retain the authentic values. Watermill-museum is a winner of EUROPA NOSTRA award.  »
The Liubavas Manor has the only mill in Lithuania with fully restored technological equipment and a dozen of technological processes: from the processing of grain, wood and metal to fulling and power generation. Even a hundred-year-old water turbine has been brought to life.

Guided tour at 11:00, meeting with manor revival enthusiast and museum creator Gintaras Karosas. Visiting the Liubavas Manor Watermill Museum is a unique opportunity to get familiar with the traditional Millstone Heritage in Lithuania as well as Liubavas Manor history.
